Laidler Associates Incorporated The new Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC) which comes fully into force on December 29th 2009, includes many changes which will impact on machine builders the world over. In order to manage the ramifications of the new Directive for American clients, Laidler Associates have announced they will be launching Laidler Associates Inc in July 2009. This new venture will be headed up by Alan Scott, a former naval engineer with a background in maintenance engineering in manufacturing.
Based in Orlando, Laidler Associates Inc will be offering the full range of machinery safety services including CE Audits and training. "One of the biggest issues with the New Directive is the requirement for CE Declarations to be signed by European based Authorised Representatives", said Alan Scott. "Through Laidler Inc, American machine builders will be able to have the CE Assessment carried out in the United States and have the Declaration signed in Europe".
For awareness building, Laidler Inc will be running a series of workshops highlighting the changes in the Directive and the implications of these changes. Dates and venues will be announced shortly. |
